Portmeirion and Steam Railway Journey
Sunday 15th June 2014

This unique village is set on its own private peninsula on the southern shores of Snowdonia. It was created by Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis (1883-1978) to demonstrate how a naturally beautiful place could be developed without spoiling it.

Portmeirion is made up of about 50 buildings and surrounded by 70 acres of sub-tropical woodland gardens.

The 1960ís television programme the Prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan as 'No.6' was filmed here

Your day out will finish with a steam train trip from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog, The scenery on this line is stunning and changes all the way along as the train twists and turns through the Welsh landscape.
